bak kut the not bad ,herbs are quite strong, lots of meat very generous. one thing I didn't like was my bak kut teh was serve only 65% hot ,which I like it 100% hot
This is open 24-hour, non-halal establishment has gained popularity among locals and visitors for its flavorful take on the traditional dish. Is a must try foods in Kuching if you’re bak kuk teh lover, it won’t let you down after you taste it. I give a good applause for their foods services.
Springvale Kopitiam 東昇肉骨茶 is a standout spot in Kuching, famed for its Bak Kut Teh, and it truly lives up to its reputation. Being open 24 hours adds a unique charm, making it a convenient choice for any time of the day. The Bak Kut Teh exceeded my expectations with its rich and flavorful broth—I enjoyed it so much that I even went for a soup top-up. The taste is distinct from other shops in town, offering a refreshing twist that sets it apart. While their noodles are also well-known, they didn’t quite suit my personal taste. However, this didn’t overshadow the overall experience, as the Bak Kut Teh remains the star of the menu. Highly recommended for those seeking a satisfying and hearty meal!
Loved it. Foodwise- I ordered dry bak kut teh. It wasn’t dry dry but it was good. Oily but oily goodness. The pad eew is soooooo savoury. Coming again. MUST TRY. Must TRYYYYY!!! Note to drivers, just a little tricky. Be safe!
Great Bak Kut Teh (I usually order Bak Kut Teh campur semua). Opens 24 hours. Place is clean and portion served quite generous. Only downside is the staff chat a bit too loud.
A convenient place to get bak kut teh and noodles at odd hours (even midnight). The iced lemon tea is one of the best I have tasted with a generous amount of imported lemon slices. They have condiments and tissues on the table. The soup bak kut teh is flavourful and savoury. The amount of vegetables are pretty good. However, the dry bak kut teh lacks that rich, thick and salty flavour. It is like half soupy, half dry, resulting in a wet looking dry bak kut teh. It makes it less flavourful and too mild for a dry bak kut teh. Maybe it is their style, but I personally do not recommend their ‘wet’ dry bak kut teh.
The place is noisy... from a loud indoor cooling ventilator (if you happen to sit inside coffee shop proper) and boisterous waiting staff. But give me an engaging and smiling staff (including the owkay neo) and all is forgotten. Place can fill up quickly due to limited seating. Expect to queue during peak hours. This app popular times section should guide you. Dry bak kut teh on point. Pricey but they make sure you see the total value offered. Condiments on table, big portion of fluffy rice and meat (well-garnished). Served in fine crockery and cutlery for that high touch.
The bak kut teh soup is very rich and nice. The fried kuey teow is the cheapest item on the menu, making it a good value option. The char kuey not as good as others, but it's a must-have side dish to pair with the bak kut teh soup. Prices are moderate overall, though note that adding extra soup will cost you RM2. The best part is it operates 24 hours!
